Abi’s access consultation work has been nominated twice for Offie Awards (for It’s a Motherf**king Pleasure and Surfacing)
Abi is a London-based neurodivergent and disabled theatre maker working in Lighting Design, and Access Consultancy. They have experience working as a Creative Access Consultant and in access consultancy around accessible performances, sensory adaption, visual stories and working within an informed consent model of access for audiences.
Abi’s previous access consultancy includes:
Surfacing - Omnibus Theatre (Offie Nominated for Access): Access Consultant with a specific focus on detailed content warnings and providing specific and useful access information for audiences.
Glass (R+D): Creative Access Consultant
Glass (written by Jacob Kay and directed by Andy Routledge) was longlisted for the Royal Exchange’s Bruntwood Prize in 2019. Glass’s R+D process embedded Access from the very beginning, both practically and within the development of the text itself.

Milk and Gall - Theatre 503: Access Consultant for Relaxed Performances with a specific focus on sensory adaption of the Lighting Design - working with Theatre503 in developing their first relaxed performance.
It’s a Motherfking Pleasure - Vault Festival, New Diorama Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe (Offie Nominated for Access): Access Consultant for sensory adaptions around Relaxed Performances (every performance of It’s a Motherf**king Pleasure has been a Relaxed Performance).
Surfacing - Vault Festival: Access Consultant with a specific focus on sensory adaptions around Relaxed Performances (every performance of Surfacing has been a Relaxed Performance).
ASYLUM Arts - Steering Group for ASYLUM GYM: Access Consultant (with a specific focus on accessibility for neurodivergent and disabled theatre practitioners).
ASYLUM Gym was a series of workshops run by disabled and neurodivergent people working in the theatre industry, for young and early career disabled and neurodivergent young people to help them develop their knowledge around topics including funding applications, working relationships and building access riders. Abi was part of a group of 8 neurodivergent and disabled practitioners who worked with Stephen Bailey of ASYLUM Arts shaping ASYLUM Gym.
